Pine Grove Furnace State Park is a 696-acre park is located on South Mountain in Cumberland County. It boasts two lakes and has hiking, biking, swimming, boating, fishing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and camping for those who want to do it all. There are six trails that add up to four miles here and the 2,000-mile Appalachian trail runs through it as well.
Pine Grove Furnace State Park is easily reached from I-81. Visitors should take Exit 37 to PA 233 south then travel for eight miles.
